McGrath
and Lehmann Encounter Trouble and Miss "King of the Mountain" Main
The last
points race of the season took place on October 11 at Sundance
Vacations Speedway. Looking to turn the corner for the 2010 season,
both Jeff and CJ hoped for a great showing. Unfortunately, CJ had
car problems in the consi and Jeff was involved in several tangles
as the drivers battled it out for the final transfer spots into the
big main event. (Kevin Green photos)
McGrath
Gets Taken Out During Consi and Lehmann Makes Double Points Feature
With double points,
lap money to the leaders and $777 to win, many drivers attempted to
make the 20-car starting field for the 7th annual Mark
Corbisiero Memorial Street Stock event, which was sponsored by AAMCO
Transmissions of Stroudsburg, Dave Cook from Hallet’s Cozy Corner
Restaurant and Mike Odwazny.

Lehmann
Makes Feature Through Consi- McGrath Loses Power Steering and Misses
the Big Show
It's been a
somewhat frustrating season for L&M Racing. However, in the ladder
half of the season the team has begun to turn things around. CJ won
the consi event Saturday night, which sent him into the main event.
Unfortunately Jeff lost power steering and did not make the feature.Read the race recap

L&M Racing Looks
Forward to Change in Luck
Coming off their worst weekend of racing all season long, L&M Racing
headed back to the track on Sunday, August 30. After the previous
week of racing Jeff had motor issues to solve and CJ’s car needed a
rebuild after being involved in a crash.

Lady Luck Stings L&M Racing
Just when the season
began to make a turn for the better, with better handling cars and
quicker lap times, things took a turn for the worst Saturday, August
8 at Sundance Vacations Speedway. The race, a 50-lap main event that
was rescheduled from a July 25 rain out, was held earlier in the
evening. CJ fought his way up in traffic to muster a 13th pace
effort and thanks to another competitor, Jeff broke a tie rod end in
turn one. Jeff hit the pits for repairs and did lose a couple of
laps. He felt that his car had lost power and hit the pits. Sure
enough his crew discovered a broken rocker arm in his power plant
and his day came to a close.
CJ however didn't
experience engine woes. Instead he started the regular 25-lap
feature and like all of the drivers in the show, trying to race
Mother Nature as a mist began to fall from the sky. Up ahead of CJ,
one driver bounced off of the front stretch wall and collected many
cars. Unfortunately, one of the was CJ.
With major repairs on
the way for the teammates, it might be a miracle if they're back in
action for the next points paying event.

L&M Racing Getting
Better and Better by the Week
Jeff McGrath and CJ
Lehmann took to the Sundance Vacations Speedway for opening day.
The weather was fantastic, but the result for L&M Racing wasn't as
great as anticipated. Problems haunted Jeff's car during the
feature and CJ piloted the #51 street stock because his car isn't
quite finished. Click on the
news link for our results.
The next Street Stock
event for L&M Racing is Saturday, May 16.
L&M Racing Qualifies for
Opening Day
Jeff McGrath and CJ
Lehmann took to the speedway Saturday for Pole Qualifying. Lehmann
set a lap of 17.007, which was 11th quickest and McGrath ran a
17.642 which was 12th fastest. Both drivers will start in those
positions on Opening Day, which is set for Saturday, April 25.
See you at the track!
