McGrath and Lehmann Encounter Trouble and Miss "King of the Mountain" Main
The last points race of the season took place on October 11 at Sundance Vacations Speedway. Looking to turn the corner for the 2010 season, both Jeff and CJ hoped for a great showing. Unfortunately, CJ had car problems in the consi and Jeff was involved in several tangles as the drivers battled it out for the final transfer spots into the big main event. (Kevin Green photos)

L&M Racing Looks Forward to Change in Luck

Lady Luck Stings L&M Racing
Just when the season began to make a turn for the better, with better handling cars and quicker lap times, things took a turn for the worst Saturday, August 8 at Sundance Vacations Speedway. The race, a 50-lap main event that was rescheduled from a July 25 rain out, was held earlier in the evening. CJ fought his way up in traffic to muster a 13th pace effort and thanks to another competitor, Jeff broke a tie rod end in turn one. Jeff hit the pits for repairs and did lose a couple of laps. He felt that his car had lost power and hit the pits. Sure enough his crew discovered a broken rocker arm in his power plant and his day came to a close.

CJ however didn't experience engine woes. Instead he started the regular 25-lap feature and like all of the drivers in the show, trying to race Mother Nature as a mist began to fall from the sky. Up ahead of CJ, one driver bounced off of the front stretch wall and collected many cars. Unfortunately, one of the was CJ.
With major repairs on the way for the teammates, it might be a miracle if they're back in action for the next points paying event.
