McGrath
Endures Caution-Free Feature At Sundance
(July 3, 2010)-
Piloting a ride lent to him by friend and fellow competitor, Mitch
Hawk, Jeff Mcgrath stayed out of trouble while fighting a tight
racecar and earned a top 15 finish in the caution-free 25-lap Street
Stock feature Saturday night at Sundance Vacations Speedway.
After winning the
Modified main event two weeks early and following it up a week later
with two-straight Sport Modified features, it appears that Earl
Paules of Palmerton is on a mission. Paules took the lead in the
Modified feature on lap eight and cruised to his fourth victory of
the season in the division Saturday at Sundance Vacations Speedway.
Lehighton’s Scott Meckes extended his points lead by notching his
first Street Stock victory of the year and Mike Kline of Lancaster
scored his third FWD win of the season in the 30-lap, double-points
event. Scott Hubler of Coplay notched his sixth-straight victory of
the season in the Pennsylvania Asphalt Legends event.

McGrath Encounters
Problems and Finishes 12th at Sundance
(June 19, 2010)- Josh Oswald would lead the Street Stocks to the
green, but before the first lap was complete Chip Wanamaker would
grab the top spot. Steve Schultz, who won the last Street Stock
feature two weeks ago, began to move forward. Mitch Hawk, who is a
teammate to Chip Wanamaker, moved into the 2nd spot early. By lap
10, the top five would be Wanamaker, Hawk, Schultz, Joe Barbush, and
Scott Meckes. Schultz would move to 2nd by lap 12, but Wanamaker
would prove to be too strong and marched to victory in the caution
free event. Wanamaker had engine problems in practice which kept the
crew busy, and he thanked them in victory lane.

McGrath Racing Presses On…
Jeff McGrath and his race team are just about halfway through the
season and they’ve learned a lot. The team has the car turning well,
but that uncovered the lack of power. The team has plans to find a
little more power in the near future.
Despite another disappointing run, the team is
still pressing forward. The crew is working on improving the car,
making it more consistent. The team would also like to welcome D&R Country Designs in Palmerton, PA to the race team. The company specializes in custom furniture and they are also a Central Boiler dealer. You can contact D&R Country Designs at 610-681-5756 or visit them on the web at www.dandrcountrydesigns.com. McGrath Stays Out of Trouble En Route to 12th Place Finish at Sundance (June 5, 2010)- In conjunction with the third annual Evergreen Raceway Reunion and after finishing as the runner up in his last outing, Bobby Jones of Lehighton wheeled his Modified to his first feature win of the season Saturday at Sundance Vacations Speedway. (May 25, 2008) After spending Saturday at the track tweaking and
adjusting, the McGrath Motorsports team threw on two new right side
tires last Sunday.
Unfortunately their day ended with a bent right front upper ball
joint, shock, and lower ball joint.
Although driver Jeff McGrath didn’t have what most would call a
“career night”, the car got faster on new rubber, and they were able
to tighten it up for better handling.
Their main focus heading into the show on Saturday, June 5 is to get
the front end back together and focus on speed. “We now know how the
car will react to changes we make and what will work and what
won't”, said Jeff.

grabbed second with Mitch Hawk in close pursuit.
Steve Shultz cracked the top five and then overtook Hawk for third
on lap seven. Meanwhile, Yamelski began to pressure Oswald for the
